Trail of a Terrorist:
Ahmed Ressam

          In this exceptionally brief review we can say that this in-depth investigative report should be mandatory viewing for all in law enforcement, intelligence, immigration and naturalization, and all other government agencies that have any interest in terrorism.
          In the case of terrorist Ahmed Ressam, we were, Canada and US, surprised to find that Canada was acting as a sieve for all terrorists with a desire to either go to, or transit Canada on their way to the US. Ressam with the assistance of a GIA (Algerian terrorists' net.) cell in Paris emigrated from France to Montreal, Canada. Canadian Immigration authorities noted that his passport had been doctored and that his picture had literally been pasted into a fake passport. When questioned by CBC, the (political) head of Immigration said in essence that he was not detained because false documents are not sufficient cause to detain and that a claim of innocence always takes precedence over assumed but unproven guilt. Ahmed initially lived on Canadian welfare plus he committed robberies from time to time to supplement his welfare checks plus he did have assistance from the local GIA cell. Although he was caught and convicted of robbery, crimes are not considered a part of refugee status. The GIA and osama are separate organizations but they are closely linked and, as the occasion warrants, they work together.
          Ressam was then recruited via a local mosque for osama's terrorist school in Afghanistan. By this time Ressam was able to have an individual at a local Catholic church provide him a fake birth certificate that showed him to have been born in Canada - and now he was a Canadian citizen with a Canadian name. He applied for and got a real Canadian passport, in fact, he was able to receive several passports, which he used for additional cell members to come to Canada - legally.
          Ressam completed osama's school. He was trained in political assasinations, explosives, sabotage and CBW. He did learn how to make poison gas with experiments on live dogs and then how to put the poison gas into air intakes of buildings. He returned to Canada via the Los Angeles airport where he got the idea of blowing up part of the airport to celebrate the new millennium. He was caught.
