The ASA Newsbreak service is offered by e-mail to paid subscribers to the ASA Newsletter. Since the service started in March 1999, there have been more than 40 messages sent out.
The Newsbreak covers timely
* announcements for selling and obtaining chemical and biological
defense equipment and services,
* news reports about chemical and biological weapons,
bioterrorism, treaty progress, etc.
* scientific and engineering reports on chemical weapons,
biological weapons, bioterrorism, CWC and BTWC treaties,
proliferation, etc.
that come out too often to be covered in the Newsletter.
ASA plans to update the website periodically with selected Newsbreak summaries that have been sent out earlier in the month. These will be left on the website for a limited time.
We have modified this page to eliminate some of the older out of date news items.
