Inter-CB
Switzerland Closes
Fred Schneider of Inter-CB (ICB), Bern Switzerland,
and one of the original ASA Newsletter Correspondents,
has retired due to health reasons. In May 2000 Fred
suffered a fifth heart attack, which was followed by a
stroke brought on by a lack of oxygen. This left him
paralyzed on one side and he is now confined to a
wheelchair.
For those of us who know Fred, he brought a sense of
Gemutlichkeit to the NBC industries meetings in general
and to the CBMTS meetings in particular. ASA had earlier
dubbed Inter-CB the "Sears Roebuck" of the NBC
equipment world. Fred had always set out to supply his
clients with the best NBC equipment available. He also
worked very hard to make the CBMTS series successful by
offering assistance with travel arrangements and hosting
many of us in Switzerland and other places around the
world.
Because of his retirement, Inter-CB is offering several
hundred brand new H+S Swiss Army masks SM-3 and SM-90 at
very special prices. These outstanding masks were
comprehensively reviewed in ASA Newsletter 93-6 (December
1993). Please contact ICB on fax 0041 31 944 02 37 or
e-mail: inter-cb@bluewin.ch
or e-mail: travel@nyalatrek.ch
Fred would like to thank the international community for
their very kind professional support for the last years
and he would like to say "bye" to all his
friends worldwide. We at ASA, and the professional
community throughout the world, wish Fred the very best
and all of us hope for his continued improvement and
enjoyment of life.
